amid和among都是介词，都表示“在...之中”，但是它们在使用上有一些区别。
amid的使用场景主要是描述人或物所处的环境、状态等，强调的是“在...中间”的意思，The children played amid the flowers and trees.(孩子们在花草树木之间玩耍。)
而among则更多地用于描述人与人之间的关系，强调的是“在...之间”的意思，He is among the most successful businessmen in the country.(他是全国最成功的商人之一。)
between和among也可以互换使用，但它们的语境略有不同，between通常用于表示两个或多个事物之间的位置关系，而among则更多地用于表示人与人之间的关系，The book is between two other books on the shelf.(这本书在书架上的两本书之间。);He got along well with his classmates among whom he had many friends.(他和同学相处得很好，其中有很多朋友。)
