①Certainty用来表达坚信某件事是真实的。
‘Do you think it will rain today?’
‘I am certain it is going to rain.’
你觉得今天会下雨么?
我确定今天会下雨。
用下面的几种说法来表明确定性:
‘I am confident it will rain.’
‘I am positive it will rain.’
‘I am sure it will rain.’
上面三种说法都表示：我确信今天会下雨。
‘It will definitely rain today.’
今天绝对会下雨。
②Uncertainty用来表达不确定 比如那些你不知道是否真实，或者你还没决定的事情。
‘Do you plan to go to university when you finish school?’
‘I’m still uncertain about that.’
你毕业之后要去上大学吗?
我还不确定。
通过下面几种表达方式来表达不确定:
‘I am not sure.’我不确定。
‘I may go.’我可能会去。
‘I haven’t made up my mind.’我还没有下定决心。
‘I might go.’我可能会去。
‘I haven’t decided yet.’我还没有决定。
